Check in policy
Check out11 AM. Late check out must be mutually agreed-upon, but can be accommodated.
Breakfast served at mutually agreeable time. Absolutely no smoking on the premises. If you smoke, you will be asked to leave. There will be no refunds if you are asked to leave because of smoking.
Deposits, reservations & cancellationsWe ask for a 50% deposit to secure your booking.
Seven (7) days before your stay, your deposit is non-refundable if you cancel. At this time, if you are to continue with the booking, we require the balance of payment for your stay. If you pay by check, please make sure your check arrives seven days prior to your stay here. All funds must be in Canadian dollars. If you are sending an international check, it must be a certified international money order, otherwise we will be unable to cash it.
With a minimum of eight (8) days notice of cancellation, the deposit will be refunded, less a $50 administration fee. With less than than seven (7) days notice of cancellation, the payment – less the administration fee – is refundable only if we are able to re-let the accommodation for the period it was originally reserved.
For reservations, please email email@example.com or call (604) 886-3634 and leave a message: name, date you'd like to reserve, phone # for confirmation. We do not have a cell phone, so please do not try to text.
If a guest arrives and decides to leave early, nights not used are refundable only if we are able to let out the room during the same time.
Hot coffee & continental breakfast served in your suite at mutual convenience for non-discounted stays. No smoking on the premises.
Rate covers 2 adults/one bed. Young children are welcome at no extra charge, provided extra bedding and towels are not required. We have a small square futon for small children for the floor. An extra charge of $15/night is added if extra bedding is required.
Cleaning FeeFor discounted stays more than three nights, a $20 cleaning fee is due at check in & paid directly to host. (Discounted = anything below $115/night)
For discounted stays over six days, a $35 cleaning fee is due at check-in.
For discounted stays over 12 days, we require a non-refundable $50 cleaning fee, due at check-in.
We take cash, check and PayPal and Direct Deposit. We aren't set up to take charge cards. Once we receive your deposit, we will hold your reservation.
Below are the house rules for caring for your pet at Art House.
We will accept ONE small dog in the suite. All pets must sleep on their own bed (which you bring) on the floor. Your pet is not allowed on the furniture at all. Please bring a carrier for night sleep, especially if they are accustomed to sleeping on your bed at home and in case your pet is uncomfortable or noisy; sometimes putting them in a carrier can calm them down.
Dogs must be on leash at all times on the property.
